About the school

What is the International Baccalaureate (IB) program?

International is an IB World School — one of only 13 in Connecticut. The IB program is a rigorous and innovative global educational program that has countless lifelong benefits for students. Here’s more information on the IB program.

 

What is the school facility like?

International is a state-of-the-art facility in Bloomfield, CT. Our two-story building contains a library media center, science center with designated laboratories, technology design classrooms, two fully fitted art studios, an auditorium, music rooms, digital music lab, full-sized gymnasium, a fitness center, and outdoor sports fields. What are the student demographics at International?

Our students come from the Greater Hartford area and are made up of a diverse range of backgrounds and cultures.

 

What is the college acceptance rate for graduates? 

On average 95% of our graduates go on to attend college or university. Students visit colleges every year, starting in 6th grade. Here are some examples of the college acceptances by International students.

What is the application process? 

Applications for the coming school year open in January each year. You can learn more about the application process here. 

 

Is there transportation available to and from school?
